Our Community

The community of Ed.Square came together to share a fun day filled with laughter, pizza, and board games! It was a wonderful opportunity for both long-time residents and those who had recently moved in to connect with each other, getting to know their neighbours. 

A great group of old and new residents came together to enjoy a free game of bowling at iPlay in Ed's Town Centre. It was the perfect way for neighbours within the community to meet and build new connections.

These activities all form part of the growth of the Ed.Square community, and we're proud to see it evolve!

Ed. Residents joined together to celebrate National Neighbour Day at the Community Space on Sunday 26 March. It’s a day to take small and simple actions in your neighbourhood that can have a big effect on people’s sense of connection and belonging and helps to create stronger communities and happier neighbours.

The Ed. community joined together with local police officers to have a friendly chat over a free cup of coffee. It was a great chance for residents to voice any concerns, raise issues or awareness and get to know the local enforcements. 

From astounding flipbook animations to building lego blocks and painting rock art, kids from the local area were able to fill up their school holidays with enjoyable workshops at the Ed. Community Space. 

Regular singers with Opera Australia, this female A Capella group delighted our residents throughout Ed.Square to get them in the festive spirit. 

It was an afternoon of fun in the sun when families, children, and residents of all ages came along on Saturday, 10th December 2022 to celebrate the end of the year in our proudly and intricately designed Gratwick and Alliot Mews.

At Ed. Square, we invited Crime Prevention Officers from NSW Police – Liverpool PAC on 24th Nov to discuss with our residents about remaining safe, learn about crime prevention related tips, tricks, resources, and other information that will help to stop crime and build a safer community. 

We will continue to engage with the NSW Police and other relevant partner organisations. 

The Ed. Community Space had a full house with over 50 residents, all in their best Halloween costumes.

It was a great night for both children and adults to enjoy food, crafts and music together with their neighbours.

Diwali is acknowledged by many in our local community, and is one of the most significant celebrations in India.

Residents of Ed. celebrated Diwali in their best outfits with music, food, henna and an entertaining fashion walk at the Community Space. 

Four exciting workshops were held in the Ed. Community Space over a couple of weeks.

From Wine and Cheese Nights for the adults, a kid's gardening session and an informative Q&A session with qualified horticulturalist, The Veggie Lady, Toni Salter.

The Humans of Ed. exhibition opening night was a great success, as the participants and their families came together to celebrate the unveiling of their portraits and stories.

Thank you to everyone who attended, with a special mention to Ned Mannoun - Mayor of Liverpool for officiating the opening of the exhibition.

We were delighted to open our new dedicated Community Space last month to facilitate activities as part of the Community Development Program at Ed.Square.

During the drop in event, we were pleased to welcome more than 80 residents.

The first Ed.Square residents bowling night at iPlay was a great turnout.

Many residents came together and enjoyed a night off to meet their neighbours for a fun and easy activity.

One of the first activities to be held in our Community Space was the residents public art mural which consisted of collaborative artistic fun in conjunction with paint and sip workshops.

A dedicated wall near the kids play area was left blank to allow for the mural, created by our proud residents of Ed.Square.

We welcomed our first Ed.Square residents to the community with our Sunset Balcony Party! Residents enjoyed performances by DJ Brett Martin and The Hot Potato Roaming Band from the comfort of their own balconies while playing Balcony Bingo via a live stream to the Residents Facebook Page. Thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy the festivities and congratulations to all our prize winners!  It was so fantastic to be able to celebrate this milestone with you from a covid-safe distance!
