MELBOURNE, 8 August 2022

Frasers Property Australia will open another park before Christmas at its growing Mambourin community in south-west Melbourne.

Heidelberg Avenue Park is well under construction and will have many features for the families of Mambourin to enjoy, including swings, a hill-slide, nature play elements, climbable bee sculpture, walking paths, shelter, picnic tables and kick-about space.

Extensive gardens and plantings will frame the play areas featuring signature trees like Plane Trees, Flame Trees and Moreton Bay Fig Trees, which already feature in the Barrabool Blvd Park and Wetlands.

When Heidelberg Avenue Park opens in late 2022, it will bring the total open space in the community to almost six hectares, after Barrabool Blvd Park and its surrounding wetlands and walking paths opened in mid-2021.

The existing Barrabool Blvd Park spans one hectare and offers a water play area, two large adventure towers, a rebound and climbing wall, adventure maze with multiple swings, kick-about zone, full-size basketball/netball court and an adjoining skate park.

When complete, 7 kilometres of walking trails and cycling paths will weave through and inter-connect the Mambourin community.

Penny Dabner, Development Director, Frasers Property Australia says the open spaces at Mambourin are part of an integrated design approach to create a healthy outdoor lifestyle for residents.

“Mambourin is designed to be highly pedestrian and cycle friendly, with ample off-road and shared paths allowing easy movement to our parks and throughout the future town centre,” says Ms Dabner.

“The community is growing fast with around 700 families already calling Mambourin home. The recently opened Little Growling Café has become a landmark in the community, as has Club Mambourin with its gym, swimming pool, entertainment and social activities for residents’ exclusive use.

“Construction has now commenced on the northern fourth leg of the signalised intersection at Black Forest Road and Grandvista Boulevard, which will be the main entry into the future Town Centre. Planning for the first stage of Mambourin’s shopping centre is also underway. ”

To be completed in 2026, Mambourin is a $455 million development by Frasers Property  that will transform 110 hectares into a thriving mixed-use community that will be home to 4,000 residents, 43 kilometres from the CBD in Melbourne’s thriving south-west.

Mambourin is a certified 6 Star Green Star community according to the Green Building Council of Australia, which is the highest rating possible and represents world leadership in sustainable communities.  Up to 50,000 plants of approximately 60 different species have been planted to create the Mambourin Wetlands system.

Land lots currently available range in size from 350 sqm to 448 sqm and in price from $380,000 to $417,500.

Over 430 lots have settled with families moving into their homes.

The Mambourin Discovery Centre, located on the corner of Barrabool Boulevard and Resin Street in Wyndham Vale, is open 7 days from 11am – 5pm. Phone Frasers Property on 13 38 38 or visit www.mambourin.com.au.
